FAQs

1. What is Lucky Homes?
Lucky Homes is a home maintenance service that keeps your house in great shape through regular, hands-on upkeep. We focus on preventive care. Like cleaning dryer vents, replacing HVAC filters, and checking fire extinguishers. Our goal is that small issues don’t turn into expensive problems.

2. What’s the difference between the Lucky and Luckier Tier?
The Lucky Tier includes essential maintenance tasks like gutter cleaning, appliance documentation, HVAC filter changes, and water shut-off valve checks. The Luckier Tier includes all of that, plus deeper cleaning and mechanical upkeep like garage door lubrication, range hood filter cleaning, and fridge coil cleaning.

3. How often should I schedule these services?
Most of our customers use Lucky Homes once or twice a year. Spring and fall are ideal. We’ll help you build a seasonal schedule based on your home and priorities.

4. How much does it cost?
The Lucky Tier averages $800 per visit. The Luckier Tier averages $1,200. We’ll give you a clear estimate before anything starts. No surprise fees.

5. Can I pick and choose services?
Yes. If you want the Lucky Tier with a few Luckier upgrades, just let us know. We can customize a plan that fits your needs and budget.

6. How long does a visit take?
Usually 3–5 hours, depending on the size of the home and the number of services.

7. Do I need to be home?
Not necessarily. As long as we have access (and you’ve walked us through what to know beforehand), we can take care of the work while you’re away.

8. Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Lucky Homes is fully insured and trained in home systems, safety procedures, and tool handling. We treat your home like it’s our own.

9. Do you clean up after the work is done?
Absolutely. Every job ends with a full sweep—no dust, no debris, no mess.

10. How do I schedule a visit?
You can call, text, or book directly through our website. We’ll confirm everything and send reminders leading up to the day.

11. What areas do you serve?
We currently serve homeowners in New Haven County and some towns in Fairfield County Connecticut. More areas coming soon!

12. What if I don’t know what my home needs?
No problem. We offer a first-time inspection and walk-through. We’ll spot maintenance issues, give you a report, and recommend a plan that works.

13. What if something breaks after the service?
We’re not a repair company, but we’ll always alert you to problems before they get worse. If we spot damage or danger, we’ll explain what we found and help you get it addressed.

14. Can you remind me when it’s time for my next visit?
Yes! We can send seasonal reminders so you don’t have to think about it.

15. Why should I bother with preventive maintenance?
Because it saves you money and stress. A stuck water shutoff valve or a clogged dryer vent can turn into major emergencies. We help you avoid that.
